The use of quality seeds helps greatly in higher production per unit area to attain food security of the country. The duty of Quality Assurance department is to accurately determine and safeguard quality of seed. We can define the good quality seeds by its uniformity, high germination and high vigor, true to type, physically pure, chemically treated & free from diseases. Quality attributes are mainly categorized as: True to type, high in germination with high vigor, physically pure, having optimum moisture, and chemically treated disease-free seeds. As per the farmers perspectives good quality seeds should carrying high seed weight, uniform shape, size, color which should be validated by its good germination value in response to good cultivation practices.

The production, processing, quality check and packaging of seeds at Comienzo Agri Science Limited (Vachan Seeds) are based on stringent quality assurance norms. Apart from supervision, the quality function also validated by quality tests conducted at frequent intervals. The QA policy of the company is aimed at providing timely, reliable and reproducible results as per minimum seed standards. The QA function operated in Quality Assurance laboratory and two field test locations in Chhattisgarh.
